Spring snow...

Well...we got a lot of rain and quite a bit of snow yesterday!! The boys were tickled to be able to play in it for a while. Daddy built them a snowman! Don't they look cute in their snowsuits...grandma Grace got these for them for Christmas and we were so glad to finally wear them...

It's so beautiful out this morning...the snow is so bright with the sun shining on it...so it's only a matter of time before it's gone...hopefully warm weather will be here later this week!!! I am so ready to plant my flowers!!!

Our MOPS craft...

For our MOPS craft yesterday, we all decorated plain cloth diapers with stencils and fabric paint. We made 36 burp rags to donate to our local hospital for the new baby's!!! We had a great time and the burp rags turned out adorable!!! This will most likely be a yearly event for our group!!

How does your garden grow?...

I'd be untruthful if I told you I wasn't excited about garden time...yes, it gets a little old toward the end of the season when every one's maxed out on veggies and if you have to think of one more way to try to cook squash, you'll scream!! But I do love being able to just walk out the back door and find something to go with supper...

This is the first year we've had a garden spot since we've lived in this part of the state, so the raccoons have never been a part of a garden...until now...
*please don't be alarmed by some the of the coons outfits...like I've said a thousand times before, if you're just playing outside...it doesn't matter what you have on...the blue matching outfits they have on toward the end of the pics are from aunt GG...Easter outfits...and they weren't actually playing outside that day, just looking!!

Unkie Bunkie's visit (uncle Buck)...

Bittersweet spring...

Why is it that the first sign of these tiny, adorable, sweet little flowers is bittersweet? Could it be that these are the first signs of spring? Could it be these are the first signs much anticipated warmer weather? Could it be these little beaut's are signs of having to tune up the mower and get the weed killer ready? It's true these tiny flowers make some people feel all warm and fuzzy and some people feel like a "whole lotta work" is about to start!?!?!? We should probably embrace them like our boys do and get all excited when they pick 20 of them and run as fast as they can to give them to me!!! I love spring...I love the boys!!!!

not much to report on around here...

Hello everyone...not much going on around here...the boys are at Granny Pam's and Berba's house...they went home with them Tuesday morning and I am to pick them up on Friday...and lets just say, it's been very quiet and low-key around this house!!!


My brother Buck, and his special someone, Thea, came over with mom and g-ma on Monday...it was great seeing my brother...it's been over a year since I've seen him...he lives in Colorado and doesn't get much time off ever!! Even though he towers over me...he's still my little brother by eight years!!! I was very glad to meet Thea...I've heard so many wonderful things about her and from the little time I spent with her, it all seems to be true!! She's a doll!! We all had a wonderful time and the boys were on cloud 9 with all the company!!!

Hope all of you are having a great spring break...hasn't the weather been great!! :)

get{REAL} ...

This weeks question from Laura over at Elephant Juice..."What spring style are you lusting over?"

I have been falling in love with all the cute ruffles and such around the shirt collars this season...I just think it's such a classy, fun, and something different look other than the everyday t-shirt!! This lovely little number is from Anthropologie and is not cheap by any means...$128.00, so yes, I am dreaming of this little top and will be searching for its twin at a store I can afford. :) I also love the little flower hair pins...anything to help me with my hair so I don't have to really fix it everyday!!!

Before's and after's...

A couple weeks ago, I brilliantly decided that some our rooms need to be painted and freshened up a bit...after the first day, I had wondered what the heck I had gotten myself in to!!! I like how everything turned out...it took a while, but no one was injured :) ...except for a stuffed bear that was thrown down the stairs...on purpose...right in to the pan of white paint!!! Thanks Case!!! Anyway, here are a few...not so good...pictures of those rooms...

First off...this is the new dining room color...chocolate...I do not have a before picture...it was a mossy green color on the bottom and a creme color on top... I was so afraid after I kept calling it chocolate that the boys were going to taste it when I wasn't looking...I don't think they ever did?!?!
Another dining room picture...this old rusted Purina sign is my absolute favorite decorative piece in our house...love it, love it...

This was painted in our entry way in the living room...I did it when we first moved here about 3 years ago...I decided change is good, and painted over the cowboy... I guess "this is where the cowboy rides away" (for all those George Strait fans out there...mom) :)
Stupid me,didn't take any pictures of the rest of the room with the old color...

Here's the new color...much brighter don't you think...we have no overhead lighting in this room and it always seemed so dark and dingy...now I can actually see in this room without turning on all three lamps!!!

This is our hallway that leads to our bedroom, the spare bedroom, bathroom, and the upstairs...you know, where the coons live...

This is our hallway now...I have to say, the camera didn't really capture the true color in here...it looks really bright in this picture, it's more muted and looks very colonial I think...it's hard to explain...I usually stay clear of blues, but not this time...it has turned out to be one of my favorite colors right now...

Oh our lovely spare bedroom...we still call it the toy room...we when first moved here, I made this the room that housed most of the raccoons toys, books, etc...it no longer has any of there prized toys...and have to say I am tickled it doesn't...I get really tired of ALL the stinkin' toys around here...

Oh look...more blue...in here it really looks so much cleaner...we have painted the trim and baseboards white...love it...and I have to brag...Jim made the bed in here...
