Case's Dr appt...

Well, we have FANTASTIC news about Case and his lymph nodes...
The size has reduced considerably said the Dr...he told us to finish up the meds he's on and then just keep an eye on it to make sure it doesn't reappear...
Although no real answer was ever found...I am tickled at the outcome...
Thanks to those of you who have prayed for us and have been keeping Case in your thoughts...This family has so much to be thankful for...and what perfect timing, with Thanksgiving coming up next week!!!

Mornin'!!!
Hope everyone slept well...just wanted to say "have a great day"...We're off to the Dr today for Case, and then off to the lovely grocery store along with some other errands.

T-Shirts in November!!??!!??

Can you believe we wore t-shirts today...outside...did I mention it's November...?!
There was absolutely no wind...just sun and calmness...
Please note the raccoons outfits...mismatched shirts and pants for Case and for Hayden, pajama pants with a white undershirt that maybe fit 3 years ago...we look awesome...
Hayden was playing "campground"...?!?!? He gathered small sticks and stacked some up by the tree and placed several all in a row, which he used as a cooktop to mix his wild green onions from the yard and some dirt...
Case was busy loading up the leaves in his dump truck and then I kept seeing him just sitting peacefully on the rocks...see picture...he asked me to take his picture when he was sitting...but yet he didn't even want me to hold the camera or take his pic while he was working with the leaves...go figure...
Anyway, the day was wonderful...I still can't believe the amazing temperature...of course it's supposed to be yucky tomorrow...
P.S. Case has another Dr. appt tomorrow morning...I'll keep you posted about that...

The Wizard of Oz...

The boys are watching The Wizard of Oz as I type this, for the 3rd time in a few days...they absolutely love this movie...it actually holds their attention for a while...and that's nice for me...yes, I am being selfish!!

Anyway, I was telling Jim last night that I keep trying to get them to pronounce the name of the movie correctly...

Hayden calls it "Lizard of the Bloz"

Case calls it "Wizard of Bob"

I give up, plus it's too cute to correct them...I like their titles better!!

Fall leaves and little faces...

Case was for sure the one posing for the camera on Sunday while they both enjoyed some candy treats sitting right smack dab in the middle of the leaves Daddy just put in a pile...Hayden was still a little groggy...just got up from his nap...
These little faces Case is making are his usual looks throughout the day...he's very sneaky...

I absolutely LOVE the pictures of daddy and the boys!!!!! These are my life treasures...without these 3 people I have no idea how I would get through my days!!!!!

I was not planning on having my picture taken, but you know how the mom's never are in any pictures, because they are the "picture takers"...I decided I at least wanted maybe one pic with the coons... well, as you can tell by my lovely Sunday outfit..consisting of sweatpants, rubber boots, and an orange t-shirt that I've owned for at least 7 years...that I was not looking my best, but oh well...the boys don't care what momma looks like... I think...I tried to cover most of my ensemble up with leaves, but as you can tell, I was not successful in covering everything up...

Well, somehow for some of you my post is written in Webdings in the previous post...nice, jeezz, well, I guess we're just that much closer to being at the 100th post!!! I must have hit the wrong font...
Here's what the post said...
I found something "vintagey" to give away...a beautiful platter adorned with flowers perfect for the holiday season maybe you could fill it with some fresh baked cookies or home made candies!! Also a small little towel or napkin with a hand sewn bird on, by me...and last and my most favorite is an old light fixture that can be used as a candle holder...sorry I don't have any candles at the moment to demonstrate!!!

So, keep you eye on the blog for that 100th post to get your name in the drawing...see official rules posted a few days ago...good luck and just a friendly note, mostly for my sister...no matter how many times you leave a comment that day, your name will only be entered once!! :)

And the prizes are...

His heart in my hand...

Well, I'm not one to ask for favors, but I do have one for all of you that read my blog...

Case has been undergoing some blood tests, etc for swollen lymph nodes under his arm (armpit area)...the Dr. is concerned that we can't exactly figure out what it is that is making this happen...he's not sick and is acting normal...crazy wild to be exact...the results of all the blood tests have not led us to any conclusions...the Dr. says not to worry and it is probably just a bacterial infection, but if it continues not to go down in size, he wants to operate and take it out...better safe than sorry I say...so please keep him in your prayers...he's a strong little boy that hasn't let this "incident" get in the way of his daily life and keeps on going like the Energizer Bunny...I feel in my heart that this will pass with nothing but a good turnout...I am trying to keep a positive attitude, but it never hurts to ask for a few extra prayers right!!?!?

Howdy Pardner...

Well, we have tried to capture the raccoons in their natural state again...just kidding...we had them pose for a few, well several pictures, over the weekend...I kind of forgot about taking these pictures until mom mentioned last night. Jim and I are trying to get a good pic of BOTH of them smiling, looking at the camera, etc...all at the same time...those of you with any children know this in itself is a big ordeal...
We want to pick one out to send with our Christmas cards...still don't know if we've captured that "special" one, but here's a few we took...enjoy...

Pumpkin spice and everything nice...

Ahhh, fall is here and that pumpkin spice smell is in the air... kind of makes you wanna light a candle and spend the day baking in the kitchen...

So, I did just that today...with my Glade candle glowing, I made some Gingerbread cakes for a Gingerbread Trifle I'm making for a friend's birthday tomorrow and I also made some Pumpkin Pie Dip for us to snack on while dipping Gingersnap cookies in to it!!!! It turned out yummy...
