Hayden's Christmas program...
Hayden's Christmas program at school was last night! It was great! Not that you can tell by this picture of Case...this was taken at the very end when all of us were getting a bit restless...they had each grade perform separately...Hayden's class was 5th in line and then there was about 20 groups after him, well maybe not that many, but you get the picture!!!
See our cute little stripey guy up there...
We were so proud of Hayden...he likes performing and singing...so he was not nervous about getting on the big stage in front of so many people!!

Hi, it's me...
Hello. Hi my name is Traci...I don't know if you remember me, but I used to post here...!! :)
Still sick, but feeling much better! Now the boys are feeling a little blah...that time of year I guess!
Just thought I'd fill you in on what's been going on around here lately. Saturday we went to Joplin to finish up our shopping...it was a success...and everything is still in the trunk!! :)
Sunday we went to church and then had Jim's work Christmas party that evening. Then yesterday morning I got up at 5:15am and three of us from MOPS headed over to Coffeyville to wrap presents at Amazon.com...we do this fundraiser for our MOPS group every year!
And today, I am going to help the students in Case's class shop in the .25 cent Christmas shop at his preschool...I think it's so funny what the kids pick out by themselves for their families!!!
Take care and hopefully I won't be a stranger here on my blog anymore!!

sick and tired of being sick and tired...
Sorry readers...Case and I have been feeling under the weather the last few days...nothing major, just normal winter illnesses! A lousy cold/sinus problem for me and Case ran a fever for about a day and a half and some coughing...but he's never stopped playing...as for me, I've spent two days in bed watching hours of nothing on TV...
Have a good weekend...I think we're going to try to finish up our Christmas shopping on Saturday in Joplin...

What our Christmas looks like...
It's the most wonderful time of the year....
Thought I'd send out a few pictures of what our Christmas looks like at our house...I am in love with any vintage decoration or ornament...I have recently been picking up vintage Santa's too...
We have our main tree filled with vintage ornaments...I will send a pic out later...have to wait til' it's dark to see it glowing...
the mantle...
anyone remember these bird singing balls? our grandma had one when we were little...found this last year and had to have it for that very reason...
this little tree is in the same room as our main tree, this one holds nursery rhyme vintage ornaments and some very old odds and ends dealing with the holidays...

Long time, no blogging...stupid computer...
Once again, I am sorry for not blogging in decades...this time our monitor shut down for no apparent reason...gosh, I just love computers and how I'm so lost without one...
So in this post, there are several different events-all combined... so sit back and enjoy...it's good to be back.
Case had his first preschool program a couple weeks ago...he's really shy, so we bribed him with a pop...silly, I know. but we never drink pop in our house, and he's had a taste of Pepsi, thanks to grandpa Billy...so that's what he wanted...on the condition he sang and participated at his program...and he did. He was so cute up there singing and doing the motions...we were so proud of him!! That's our little baby up there!!!! :(
Okay, so Coke and Pepsi are the same to a little boy who never gets pop!!!
He was asking daddy if we could go already...Case, they're not going to run out of pop at the gas station...
Last week we headed over to a retirement party for one of Jim's co-workers...they boy's had tons of cake, punch, and chips and salsa...(for two weeks these kids have had nothing but junk!)...
Hayden's class had a Thanksgiving Feast...they made their own costumes...aren't they cute...he came home, hid in the bedroom and then came out to show me his outfit!!!
For Thanksgiving we went to Aunt Marsha and uncle Dick's again...we always have a fantastic time there...Marsha went all out for us this year spending $5.99... :)

Who?!?!?
Last night the boys had a little trouble falling asleep right away, so I snuggled with each one of them in their beds. When I reached Case's room, we laid in silence, with his tiny arms stretched out around me and said..."momma...did you know that Bob Ricky drives race cars?"
"Who", I asked!?!?! "Bob Ricky!!!" he said.
Then I knew what he was talking about...Ricky Bobby off Tallidaga Nights...
I said "Don't you mean Ricky Bobby?" "Yeah", he said...like that's what he'd been saying the whole conversation...I had to keep from laughing until I went downstairs...I couldn't wait to share Bob Ricky's news with Jim!!!! I love what kids say and how they get stuff messed up!!! :)

Puttin' out fires...
Last Friday at MOPS (Mothers of preschoolers), we were taught how to use a fire extinguisher... it was great, I had never used one before...hopefully I will never have the chance to try out my new skills...!!!
(thanks to Wendy who took my picture for the blog...she has her own blog by the way...go check her out here.)

SNEAK PEAK
Here's a little "nibble" of our photo session we had yesterday after church...I told the boys we were going to get our pictures taken...so they would be more careful about not getting dirty within 5 minutes of getting dressed...
We got to our destination and Case goes "who's comin' to take our pictures?" I responded, "aahh, Me"... sorry to disappoint you...I guess for the last few months we've had a thousand pictures taken with Jenni's wedding and receptions by a real photographer... sorry, momma's just a wanna-be... :)
(be sure to click on the picture to enlarge it so you can read the captions...Case came in while I was working on this picture on the computer and wanted to know why I was making rain clouds over our heads!)

Knock knock...who is it...it's my sister blogging...
I'm so excited...and I just can't hide it...I know I know I know I know...sorry, the song was going through my head and I just lost it after "I'm so excited"...
My sister, after a lot of contemplating, has started a blog...so everyone please follow along with her as she shares her adventures of being a new wife, living in a fast paced world in the city of Phoenix...well, she's been there for probably close to 10 years, so she's used to fast paced, but being a newlywed will surely hold some funny stories...I can already think of one...the microwave...hopefully she'll share that later...
Welcome Jenni!!! Go take a look and add her to your blog list!! You can find her at "the cat lady".

candy, cowboys, and a cranky ghost...
From his view, he must have been thinking..."this must be what heaven looks like"...
End of trick or treating...nothing like a big cotton candy ball to eat right before bedtime...
We went to two different trunk-or-treats in town at some local churches...this one you caught the candy when it came down the tube...
I could never get a picture of both the raccoons posing for me...Hayden was in a foul mood about his costume and him not being able to see or something...big deal...he could see in it the day before at school, but not this night...
Case and Granny made strawberry ghosts...he was only concerned about eating the mini chocolate chips...
Granny took him in to the grocery store and let him ride in this...thanks mom, now I have to use this every time we go there now...it's like driving a hollow plastic double wide on wheels without power steering in tiny store isles...
