Happy Anniversary to us...

Today is our 9th anniversary!!! And we've actually been together for 16years!!
This is the picture we have on our mantle in our living room...this picture has been displayed in all our homes and I plan on continuing that tradition until we're both gone...because two people fell in love we have all that surrounds this picture...2 beautiful children, a safe home in live in, and all the love and laughter to fill it up!! This picture is a great reminder of how happy we were that day and how it should make us happy, proud, and thankful we're still just as in love today as we were all those years ago...
I know, it sounds kinda' sappy, but I don't care...it takes a lot to make a marriage work and I'm so happy to know that ours is still "truckin" right along!! I feel so lucky to have Jim as my husband and best friend...and a great daddy!!!
Love ya honey and Happy Anniversary!!

(now where did Jim's hair go and how did I stay so skinny back then?)

In the barn...

I have stumbled upon on a blog that I think that fits me like a glove...it talks about garage sales, thrift shops, flea markets, etc...pretty much all the places I love to go and look for trinkets and treasures... Each week Diane over at A picture is worth a 1,000 words posts some 2ND pictures of something she has...you can join in and show what you have...that's what I'm doing today...as I was walking around the house this morning, I realize that 90% of our house's contents fit in this category...and I couldn't be happier...I love that what fills our home is full of stories, memories, and love!!! And you can never have too much of that in your house, right?!?!
My 2ND hand treasure I picked to show you is an old tin barn a got a year or so ago at an auction...I can't recall what I payed for it, but I can guarantee it wasn't a lot...I have a $10 limit/rule I try to stick by...most of the time...anyway, I probably paid 5 bucks for it...it is held together by wire on each side...Jim says he can fix it for me, but I haven't decided if I want to take that wire off...someone came up with that so they could keep playing with it, and I don't want to ruin that...the animals inside the barn are some we've picked up at garage sales, etc...it's located in our spare bedroom along with some other old farm stuff and metal toys and a whole bunch of other farm animals!!!! Enjoy!!!

get REAL...

Laura over at Elephant Juice has posted another "get REAL" challenge... "What has been occupying your time lately?" Well, I am so glad she asked...this last week has been very busy for me...
Besides taking care of my two raccoons and their father, I had the Women's Seminar at my church...I was in charge of the decor and putting it all together on the many tables...that took a lot of work...it's been over a month since us ladies have been working on it...and the actual Seminar was on Saturday and turned out GREAT!! I had a wonderful time. I have also been trying to catch a few garage sales to look for those one-of-a-kind treasures...I've been sewing here and there when I get a free minute...On Friday we had MOPS...martial arts demo...lets just say I am now prepared to attack anyone who approaches me in the parking lot of Wal-mart...and I wrote a little something to put in our MOPS April newsletter on the subject of "HOPE"...Friday afternoon I spray painted 25 pumps red (yes, shoes) for the Labette County Community College annual Scholarship Auction for later this month...I'm on that committee too...yes..for decorations...this year it's a Wizard of Oz theme...therefore the red pumps!!!!! All I need to do is add the red glitter so Dorothy can get home in them!!!! :) ( I won't even get in to the story of how the windy conditions outside while spray painting gave me red tips in my hair...just in time for the Women's Seminar...was not happy)...then I had to come up with a mail out for MOPS about our annual "Plant-Off" we have coming up where we get together plant flowers and tailgate at the church!! It's fun!! I'm probably leaving something out, but I can't remember!!! :)

This picture shows how happy Case was to receive his "suitcase" (his security pillow case) from granny...he left it at her house over spring break...he and Hayden also got some Lightening McQueen lip balm...that Case ate later that night while in bed....

"Sew" Fun...

For my birthday, mom and gma got me a sewing machine...the things I have been making are not hard...I can basically just sew a pillow or anything with a somewhat straight line...I thought I'd share with you my stuff...my favorite is the little white shirt with the heart......and my absolute favorite extra on the bottom of the shirt...fuzzy ball fringe...I swear I would put this on anything and everything...
I took them to my booth today at the Flea market...usually everything I make does not sale in there for some reason...so keep your fingers crossed...

And this is a little clip from Hayden that has NOTHING to do with sewing...

He has the ability to sing songs with this...well...I don't know what it's called...just listen to his ghost noise...he had cut out a ghost at school today and this is the sound he made all the way home!! Enjoy...crazy kid...

Spring snow...

Well...we got a lot of rain and quite a bit of snow yesterday!! The boys were tickled to be able to play in it for a while. Daddy built them a snowman! Don't they look cute in their snowsuits...grandma Grace got these for them for Christmas and we were so glad to finally wear them...

It's so beautiful out this morning...the snow is so bright with the sun shining on it...so it's only a matter of time before it's gone...hopefully warm weather will be here later this week!!! I am so ready to plant my flowers!!!

I didn't know Amy had got my camera out to take my picture during directions...thanks Amy!!
