I started another blog...

I started another blog earlier this week...go over and take a look...it's called "though my eyes". It's just going to be a place I can put random, misc pictures of whatever...
I am certainly not a professional, but do LOVE taking pictures with my point and shoot camera...
It's also a site where I can play around with the colors and cropping of the pic's!!
Enjoy.

Friday was Hayden's birthday...

Friday was Hayden's 6th birthday...I know, I know, I can't believe it either...you actually have to use both hands now to show how old he is...seems like just yesterday I pushed this huge baby of 9lb 1.5oz out to meet the world...today he certainly thinks he rules the world!!! He's full of sass, wonderment, adventure, and is very witty! Daddy and I love him very much!!

This is his new bike...it's from Tonka...notice the sweater he has on...one of my friends gave us a bag of hand-me-downs and this was in it...

Lee Boy's B-day party...

This last Saturday, we had the combined big party, like every year, to celebrate both boys birthdays...(they're b-day's are 11 days a part)...it was a great time...we had family and friends over for dinner on the deck...and don't think your eyes are playing tricks on you when you see the decorations...I recycled all of Jenni's reception stuff for the boys' party...might as well keep a good thing going right?!?! :)

Jim was the griller- he cooked out hamburgers and hot dogs...it was really good...

Oh yeah, about these...Saturday morning or Friday sometime, we're not for sure, someone dropped off three little black kittens...they are very tame and friendly as you can see...so I guess these were also a gift for the boys...

If you're a dentist, please skip over this picture...candy, candy and candy is what the boys had for their "pre-party" snack...

You might be a redneck if frog huntin' is something you do at a birthday party...Colton and Oliver Darby were at our pond and gigged this bull frog...so we did what any normal American would do...cut the legs off for cookin'...yummy, taste like chicken...

I realize now that the "6 " is on backwards, I guess when I put it on the cake it looked normal at whatever angle I had it at...oh well...

My friend Christine took this, she said he was in the house all by himself opening presents...

Poor Camille got whacked in the eye with the tire swing...

And poor little Sidni got stung by a bee...twice...

And last, but not least....we forgot about the pinata just when everyone had gone home Saturday night...so the boys hit the crap out of it Sunday by themselves...they loved it...they each have bags of candy that out weigh them now, so yes, they were okay with not having to share...

Back to real life...

Well, when last Sunday rolled around, we were all tired, worn out, sore from dancing...me, and probably had a deep pain in their stomach...I know I did, I wasn't sick, but sad that Buck and Thea had to drive back to Colorado and Kent and Emma had to board a plane to Phoenix, and the boys and I had to make the 2hr drive home and leave mom and Jenni standing in the yard waving bye...I hate that...I really do...

You know, when you don't live really close to your siblings, mom and dad, etc, you get used to the idea of them not being there physically...but when you've been with them for days, it makes it that much harder to leave them...I'm not trying to get all sappy on ya, but come on...you would think after all the years we've lived far from each other it would get easier...Nope...it doesn't.

These are some pictures of Sunday afternoon, right before everyone parted ways...these are bittersweet pictures for me to look at...

how many people does it take to un-hook a beer wagon? 2 adults and a child I guess...

The reception...

Last Saturday was Jenni and Kent's pre-wedding celebration...or as mom liked to call it..."the Hoe-down", this title was scary to Jenni the first time she heard it...I don't blame her, I told mom not to use that title when she first ran the idea of the theme by her...anyway, it was great an we had a fantastic time...not many pictures were taken this night...too much dancing and laughing, and I might add singing as well....

Kent and his dad, Brian...we were so glad he and his wife Jacque came back to Kansas to celebrate with us...they live in Arizona as well.

The bride to be and her daddy...

The "Jackson" five...our cousins

Me and my baby...excuse the awful hair-do...it was sooooooo humid out that night and I was sweating so bad, it looked as though I had a perm and my hair was as wet as if I just got out of the shower...yuk!!

That's Sugarland...or I mean Hayden and Traci

Case and gg

Again with the wet hair...nasty...Hayden looks real happy to be kissed by me...

jenni in the hot seat...

Okay, this was after the reception and most everyone had gone home...but guess who was still awake, yep, you guessed it...me,jenni,buck,mom and thea...except when I had these pictures taken, it was only thea and I downstairs...Buck would have had a stroke if he saw me doing a min-photo shoot with my wet hair in his newly made custom hat!!!!!!!!!!!! Believe me, we got more than just one pic, but for the sake of my own life, I will not be posting them for Buck to see...yet...Thanks for letting me use your hat Bucky...don't be mad a Thea, she was scared you were going to catch us...

Uncle Tent (aka uncle T-Bone as Hayden was calling him) and Hayden at the end of a long Saturday...
