Happy Birthday Case!!!

My baby is 5 today...has it really been 5 years since we were at the hospital waiting on his arrival...has it really been 5 years since he would cry all day, never nap, and rarely slept at night....has it really been 5 years since Hayden became a big brother...has it really been 5 years since we fell in love with this beautiful baby...I still am...

We had his birthday pre-party this morning before Hayden got on the bus and daddy went to work...about 6:15am...he has been waiting patiently to open the huge box that has had his name on it for over a week!

Kansas State Fair...

Well, we're back from the State Fair...it was great! The boy's had their tractor pull event for Nationals...although they did not place, they did a great job!! Momma and daddy could not be more proud! They were content receiving a hat, pin, and ribbon for their efforts! The number of kids participating was unreal and it did take a while to get through the event!!!

Enjoy the pics...

Happy Birthday to Kent...my one-of-a-kind brother-in-law...

Today is Kent's birthday...my sister's husband.  He's a great guy and fits in to our crazy family like a glove...from the moment my family met him, it seemed he had already been a part of it for years!!
He's very funny and loves to play jokes on people and loves my sister like there's no tomorrow...he has the boy's call him uncle T'bone...and they do...

goodbye summer...

We have had a wonderful, busy summer! We were fortunate to have taken several trips all over, enjoyed a music festival, celebrated a rainy 4th of July...in which Jim and I celebrated 17 years together since we first started dating...seeing my brother and sister...I love them so, and hate that they live so far away from their big sis!!  The boy's did a lot of traveling back and forth from the lake down the road from us...we would get there at 10:00am...swim, have lunch, swim, and leave around 12:00pm...
Goodbye summer, we love you...see you next year...you're our most wonderful time of year...

*picture is of Kinsey, Riley, Hayden and Case...all four very good buddies...

momma, watch me jump...

This kid loves to jump...over anything...good thing he cleared Lincoln...it seems like every few minutes he's asking me to watch him jump over something, see how far "up in the sky" he can jump, and just yesterday I caught both "angels" jumping off the activity table (our old kitchen table) we have in our TV room to the couch!!! When does school start and do they have an all-night preschool/1st grade center near me????!!!
*notice the large shoes Case has on while clearing Lincoln...somebody gave these to Hayden and are still too big on him, he then gave them to Case and now he thinks they fit him wonderfully...nice jumpin' Big Foot!!

our newest member of the family...

I would like to introduce to you our baby...Lincoln Log Lee...yes, like the toys...he's a blue heeler puppy and we love the little fat guy!! I forgot how much work a baby/dog can be- all he does is eat, poop, pee...repeat x 60...Overall he's a good little dog...the boy's won't leave him alone and insist on carrying him...Lincoln does bite them though if  he's had enough!!!

my little tractor pullers...

We attended the county fair this year and had a great time...the boy's did the stick horse races, the calf scramble at the rodeo and the tractor pull...and I must brag...it's the momma coming out in me...Case won 1st place in his age division and Hayden won 2nd in his age division in the tractor pull!!! You can bet I was on the phone spreading the word soon after the event!!! They were so proud to win a juice and one piece of candy!!! And they also got to choose between a t-shirt or hat...I can bet you know who chose what...or you can see by the pictures...
Anyway, they both qualified for the state tractor pull in Hutchinson in September at the State Fair...so we'll be making the trip there to see if they're little legs can pull the heavy weights behind the tractors again...I could care less if they even place...I am just so proud of them for trying...like daddy says..."just trying something new makes you a winner"...well said daddy!! Enjoy the pictures...
