Tessa's wedding....

It was our cousin Tessa's wedding over the weekend. We left Friday at noon to drive up to Lyndon (up around Topeka). We spent the weekend at aunt Marsha and uncle Gick's house. Friday was the rehearsal dinner...Hayden got to stand in as a groomsmen for our cousin Wade...he was on cloud 9!!!!! Case was not really excited about having to practice walking down the aisle without momma, daddy or Jetta...oh great, I was getting a little worried...
When Saturday rolled around and Case was up at sun up, I was really worried, this kid is going to be CRANKY when it's actually time for the wedding at 4:30 (pictures around 2:00)...Yikes....we were right he was not interested with any of our bribes, threats, pleases, more bribes of candy, money, new trucks or any kind of toy at that point...!!!! It was like pulling teeth to get the few pictures we did with Case by himself...he wanted daddy to be in the picture too.............oh lordy.....what ever are we going to do.....hum....who would take Case's place and know what to do....who's already dressed up......who...who....who.....who could help us out........well, what do you know, here's Hayden....Hayden would you like to be the ring bearer......................of course he did.........he didn't even think twice about it...he grabbed the rings and posed for a few pictures and was ready for action.... and don't worry about hurting Case's feelings...he was already seated with daddy happy as a lark, but very tired...the wedding starts and Hayden was perfect...he stood up front the entire wedding winking at me, waving at the bridesmaids, smelling his flower pinned to his sweater...oh, and did I mention he decided to stand next to Brandon, the groom for the whole ceremony...yeah, he did... :) oh, and here's the funny thing...when the wedding started Case was asleep in the pew...slept through the whole thing!!!!!!!! We thought he was tired!!!!!! We had a great time and everything was beautiful!!!!! If you're confused about who I'm talking about it, my aunt Marsha is my mom's younger sister (mom's going to kill me for saying that), they have five children...Blair, Audra, Wade, Tessa and Jetta. Blair is married to Cory...Hayden was the ring bearer for their wedding a couple years ago....Audra and Wade and Tessa live in Topeka...Jetta is a senior this year in high school...I feel that we're all really close as far as cousins go...I love this family and am so thankful to have them!!! So, what I'm trying to say is that Case will have 3 more opportunities to try the ring bearer thing!!!! :)

Butter anyone...

Case and I have a ritual on days when Hayden's at school...we go home and cook eggs, he always puts the butter in the pan for me and then sits on the cabinet. I guess he was tired today...
He also likes to "sneak" butter or eat it when I'm not looking...can you tell this tub of butter was very tempting to him, being so close and all!!

Talk about being in the "dog house"...

Well, as you can see poor Molly had a house full...Case was literally in the dog house with her for probably an hour "fixin' up, rebuilding, and doing some normal home repairs for her!! I was so glad to Case wearing his safety goggles while running his saw...good boy!!

Oh, this is me, a few pictures down... laying on the bench outside while the boys worked, can you tell I was bored?!?!? And without any make-up while having a bad hair day!!!!! Could one of you three boy's build me a bigger lounge area/bench out here?!?!?!

Tape measures and two boys...3 counting daddy...

I snapped a few pictures over the past weekend, I know, I know, it's already half way through this week, but hey, better late then never~~ anywho... Jim spent the weekend working on building a headboard and the boy's couldn't have been happier!!! They love to build with daddy... here, take a look...
