water workers or swamp loggers...

I don't know about you, but during this long winter, we have watched just about everything on TV...including "Swamp Loggers"...so Saturday when it was above freezing, we ventured outside! Thank goodness, these boys are driving me crazy and I'm sure I'm driving them crazy as well being in the house 24/7 together...

We still have a lot of water standing here and there around our property and well, of course the boys can always find it...they were playing like they were "water workers" and making sure beavers had not dammed up the flow of water and sometimes, depending on what the body of water looked like, they would install a "pump" down in the swampy water...which was actually a stick...they played for over 2 hours doing this "work"...they were very serious about their jobs and had plenty of stories to tell me about some past "jobs" and problems they had had with this occupation...

I love their imaginations...

without a computer for almost 3 wks makes you crazy...

We got our computer back this evening and I've been on it ever since- catching up on emails, or should I say old emails that don't even matter anymore, and reading blogs that I follow...I have wondered what everyone has been up to...well, I'm back and just thought I'd let you know that I'm still alive and am so glad I have my computer....

string bean...

When daddy gets home from work, you can usually find Case as his shadow...even while watching TV...he looked so funny when I took these...skinny little string bean...this kid eats us out of house and home and can you even tell....nope....not fair....
Maybe he looks long because of his one-piece jama's...it looks like he doesn't even know Jim is sitting underneath him...and another thing...he was very cranky that I was taking his picture, like I was bothering him or something...you can tell by the way he's holding his mouth in the last picture...anytime I get my camera out, he just looks at me and shakes his head "no"...so I try to sneak it out but he always catches me!!

On Sunday before church, I had the boys "try" to pose for some pic's...notice the word "try"...all they wanted me to do was take pictures of the "Thomas the Train" toy...and getting them to hold still longer than 5 seconds was impossible...

this crazy kid can write his name...

We decided a couple weeks ago that it was time to teach Case how to write his name...we had taught Hayden at this age while he was in his first year of preschool too... Case has been writing "c", "H", "T", and a couple other letters for a while. I wrote it once and he copied it with out any problem...I was a proud momma...

(by the way, these are his glasses...he had them on last week while watching TV...ding dong...)
The day after showing Case how to write his name, he brought this home from school...he had remembered how to write it by himself...I was all smiles on the way home...I couldn't believe how smart he was to remember!!!!!!!! Then it made me sad...how could my little baby be old enough to write his name!?!?!
