100th post coming up soon...

Well, my 100th post will be here probably in a week or so...I have decided to have a Give-away for my readers to show appreciation for you having any interest in my everyday life and all that comes with it...Thank You...
I have not decided what this prize might be...of course it will be something vintage, antique, or out of the ordinary...it has to be something I love too, right?!
Here's how your name gets in the random drawing:
  • Leave a comment with your name on my 100th post (now you really have to keep up with the blog so you know when the 100th will be... :)
  • The deadline will be mid-night of the day I post the 100th post.
  • The following morning I will put every one's name in a hat, bowl, bag, etc and draw one name...I promise you this will be with my eyes closed and there will be no "re-drawing"...sorry Jenni... :)
  • I will then post the winner's name on my blog congratulating them and requesting an address for shipping...lets please keep it in the USA... :)
  • So please tell your friends to get online and read the blog so they too can be entered in the 100th Post Celebration!
I will be posting a picture of the prize in the next day or so...I am so excited to give away something to one of you...Good Luck and again thank you so much for reading!!!!

His heart in my hand...

Well, I'm not one to ask for favors, but I do have one for all of you that read my blog...

Case has been undergoing some blood tests, etc for swollen lymph nodes under his arm (armpit area)...the Dr. is concerned that we can't exactly figure out what it is that is making this happen...he's not sick and is acting normal...crazy wild to be exact...the results of all the blood tests have not led us to any conclusions...the Dr. says not to worry and it is probably just a bacterial infection, but if it continues not to go down in size, he wants to operate and take it out...better safe than sorry I say...so please keep him in your prayers...he's a strong little boy that hasn't let this "incident" get in the way of his daily life and keeps on going like the Energizer Bunny...I feel in my heart that this will pass with nothing but a good turnout...I am trying to keep a positive attitude, but it never hurts to ask for a few extra prayers right!!?!?

Howdy Pardner...

Well, we have tried to capture the raccoons in their natural state again...just kidding...we had them pose for a few, well several pictures, over the weekend...I kind of forgot about taking these pictures until mom mentioned last night. Jim and I are trying to get a good pic of BOTH of them smiling, looking at the camera, etc...all at the same time...those of you with any children know this in itself is a big ordeal...
We want to pick one out to send with our Christmas cards...still don't know if we've captured that "special" one, but here's a few we took...enjoy...

Pumpkin spice and everything nice...

Ahhh, fall is here and that pumpkin spice smell is in the air... kind of makes you wanna light a candle and spend the day baking in the kitchen...

So, I did just that today...with my Glade candle glowing, I made some Gingerbread cakes for a Gingerbread Trifle I'm making for a friend's birthday tomorrow and I also made some Pumpkin Pie Dip for us to snack on while dipping Gingersnap cookies in to it!!!! It turned out yummy...

Welcome to the blogger world...mom and Becky...

I am so excited today...my friend Becky in Texas started her own blog...we don't ever get to see eachother anymore, but we remain good friends...and now that we both have blogs, we can really keep tabs on one another and what's going on daily in our lives...

Then this evening I got an email from mom...she started her own blog...I am really excited to see what she has to share about her grandkids and kids...or maybe a should be a little scared?!?!? :) I love her so and we always have so many laughs when we're together...so I am sure I'll get more laughs from her on her blog too...

oh deer...

Jim got his deer over the weekend and we couldn't be happier!!! It's bow season around here, so Jim has been spending a few mornings and evenings looking and waiting for a nice buck to come waltzing by his stand...well, here he is...
I got this close up...wouldn't it be scary to open your eyes and see this buck this close to you...I'd freak out, I know that for sure.
The boys had 40 questions about anything and everything concerning the deer, shooting it, skinning it, and why it had to be hung in the tree over night...

Congrats honey...great job...he's a nice one!!
